Oereishi Aeoma (Jorge Casado) is a multidisciplinary artist, storyteller, poet, and healer devoted to creativity, connection, and care for all beings. Rooted in compassion and guided by intuition, his work weaves art, advocacy, and spiritual inquiry into spaces that encourage reflection, empowerment, and collective healing.
A graduate of Ithaca College with a bachelor’s degree in audio and film production, Oereishi continues to expand his creative practice through writing, storytelling, singing, and audio-visual work. His artistic journey is inseparable from his lived values. He is an animal rights activist, volunteer at animal sanctuaries, supporter of I-tal (vegan) living, and steward of self-sustaining gardens and spaces centered on love and reciprocity. He has also worked closely with children with autism, fostering environments of patience, understanding, and growth.
Since 2019, Oereishi has served as a guide and healer, engaging in energy work and spiritual communication to support those open to receiving. His intention is simple yet expansive: to offer a hand where welcomed and to support Earth and its beings in remembering their highest essence.
In August 2024, he published Being, a book of poetry and the first of two avant-garde literary works, followed by Bird Band in November 2024, a story that explores imbalance, awareness, and transformation through the eyes of a bird. His work has been featured at venues across Rhode Island, including Funda Fest, and in the We All Live Here Together exhibition at the Providence Public Library. He is a graduate of the Rhode Island Black Storytellers Legacy Academy and was selected as a writer-in-residence for the 2025 Linden Place Writers in Residence Cohort and the 2026 Château d’Orquevaux Artists and Writers Residency.
At heart, Oereishi seeks to inspire, protect, and lead with care—while nurturing food forests, exploring the world, and encouraging others to dream, trust, and remember that what they seek is never beyond reach.
With gratitude and love, he welcomes you here.
